[quote="Corvus"]Shirley, as much as would like to claim to have special powers all I did was click on Simon's profile!!
Ooh, will be rummaging around for my copy of Trust You first thing tomorrow! Has the dog free workplace policy been applied to your properties yet? [/quote
Don't get too excited, even with digital enhancement the photo is not good!
Dog free policy ? News to me ( then again so much that goes on ,is news to me ). Hugo often comes to work in the closed season and settles down in the main office. The Speke Hall estate offers him good roaming opportunities and an excuse to get out of my office.
Your role with the Trust?
I have the pleasure of loking after Dame Fiona in a few days. I may leave Hugo and Ralph at home.
Simon

Just a guess, but are some of your photos taken at QBM?
Are you a visitor or do you work there?

Dogs were banned in the buildings at our properties, and we were told all of Wessex and eventually the whole Trust, about 18 months ago

Sorry, Quarry Bank Mill. I recognised a large piece of metalwork ( looks like a shaft of some description) that lies by the restaurant.

| Corvus wrote: | Dogs were banned in the buildings at our properties, and we were told all of Wessex and eventually the whole Trust, about 18 months ago which has raised a few hackles (excuse the pun!) but clearly hasn't happened Like you most of us only took our dogs in when we were closed or left them in the car if the weather allowed but gave them a communal run a couple of times a day. Between us we have 4 labs, 2 working cockers, a rough collie, a bearded collie, 2 springers, a JRT, a SBT cross and a dachsund!
I am the Property Assistant/Administrator for the Chedworth Roman Villa, Sherborne Estate, Lodge Park and North Cotswolds portfolio.
Good luck with your visitor! Fiona came and volunteered at Chedworth last season on a very busy day and was a real grafter! |
Say 'Hello' to Jonathon for me, he once worked at Speke Hall.
I am unaware of the dog ban. My Area Manager frequently comes to see me when Hugo is in attendance ( often sleeping across his feet) and has never mentioned it. But then I have, or had, just the one dog not your large brood. I think I will keep my head down !
Love Chedworth and Lodge Park, happy memories when the children were younger ( now at University).
Have good season.

OMG Simon. Yes they were. There are a couple of Jazz with her cousin Joseph, a Harrop lab, who belongs to Susanah (Sue Tasker). She drove all the way from Spain this time last year to collect him. She had to wait a couple of weeks before driving back with him to organise his jabs I think. So we met up at QBM for a mini GT (just the two of us and two dogs). We had an excellent soup in the restaurant. Sue had contacted me when she had decided to get a Harrop lab as she's read Jazz's pedigree.
You'll have to tell me all about NT properties around here. I live in Widnes and work in Liverpool 6.

Jonathan left Lodge about two years ago, I'm not sure where he's gone as he left before our properties were amalgamated and so I didn't know him very well.
I enjoyed reading your article - you've got some fascinating projects going there. How did your visit with Dame Fiona go?
Now pulling this thread back to Labradors, I love the names of your boys! How is life with the pup? Can we see some photos please?

The most dog friendly property in the area is Speke Hall, this is where I am based. Lovely woodland walks and access to the forshore of the Mersey, plus a nice restaurant!
I also look after the homes of John Lennon and Paul McCartney plus the home of Mr Hardman, a local photographer from the 1950's, who lived in Rodney Street.
Hope you can find time to pay us a visit
Simon
