I had vaguely heard this eomewhere before, and think it may have been from browsing the forums. It is scary. There are some still ponds on one of our walks, but they are next to a small road through a farmyard with a field of sheep nearby, so Charlie has to be on the lead at that point anyway.
Stagnant puddles do concern me a bit, as he seems drawn to them like a magnet. Fortunately I have never seen this algae on any of the ones he has managed to sneak a drink from so far.
Helen.
