Believe it or not, Milo has a ridiculous craving for popcorn. I made a batch a few weeks back and she managed to get a taster (not intentional) ... since then ... when I make the odd batch after work for Scott and I - she goes bezerk trying to get at it ! Quite literally - jumping all over the place and diving in at every little scrap that might get dropped. Very unlike her because she's generally quite polite when it comes to our food and meal times.
Wondered though if you thought popcorn might be bad for her ? Everything in modertaion of course. I was just wondering if I might start using 5 / 6 kernels for training if its such a motivator ?

Hi there
Hmmm...not sure in terms of digestion how good or bad it is for her but after an incident with one of my dogs I don't give it to them anymore.
Just like it gets stuck in our teeth and throat - it gets stuck in theirs. I had to litterally fish it out the back of his throat. Then to top it off the bits that get stuck in the gums really annoys them and they were pawing at the mouth.
Thats just my experience.
I used to use chopped up pieces of sausage for training as the smell is strong enough and enticing enough for them.

Any form of grain is a no no when it comes to taking a starring role in a dogs diet .. but as a bit player with the occaisional walk on part its not going to do any harm
As my gran used to say "a little of what you fancy wont do you any harm, but in moderation!" .. as true for our dogs as it is for us methinks
Compared to what the blighters pick up during their walks and eat Im sure a few pieces of popcorn aint gonna trouble em too much!
