Hiya, Max doesn't like wearing a collar and scratches away at it, he's 8 weeks and has been wearing a plain blue woven puppy one but it's in such a state now he looks like he's got a blue ready brek glow round his neck. Do the shiny nylon ones go the same way when scratched? I'm not keen on leather collars so would rather get him a cool red dingo one or similar but don't want to bother yet if he's going to ruin it as quick as this one, bearing in mind he's only been with us a week and worn the collar a few hours a day. Also I'm adjusting the size daily as it always seems too tight so I think a small dog sized one as opposed to a puppy size will be better now.

Una was a chronic collar scratcher but her Red Dingo first collar still looks as good as new (just not so baby pink, more a grubby pink Laughing ). Wink

Max will grow out of dcratching his collar once he`s got used to wearing it, try leaving it on him all day just take it off when he goes in his crate Smile

I`d hang on to the ready brek one for now, may start a new trend Laughing Laughing , one of my kitties collars looks like that but don`t think its so much him scratching it as the other two pulling him around by it Laughing
