Morning everyone,
Well......what a day it was yesterday.......It was very VERY warm....Kaye mumbled something about the hottest day here yet this year...........
After writing my post yesterday I was introduced to the wonders of the Grand Prix!! Bailey and I curled up on Kaye's knee and watched all these cars go around in circles.........Kaye did mumble something like ' after a starting grid like we had, I was really expecting a more entertaining race'.......personally, I did nap most of the way through so couldn't make comment there........
After it finished Bailey had a quick charge around the garden and then Kaye and I went out in the car......Bailey wanted to come too but Kaye said it was far too hot and that there wouldn't be any shade for him to keep cool. (me.....I'm quite happy getting stuffed in a bag )
Kaye told me we were going to a sand castle competition on Woolacombe beach.......I though this was great.....all those small children to play with and so many new friends to make......
Kaye got a bit grumpy at first though .........started having a little hissy fit about the grockles again........they were all walking in the road and she couldn't find anywhere to park within a 5 mile radius ..........I can honestly say ........I've not heard some of the words coming out her mouth when she had no choice but to pay £5 to park her car in the grockle car park......and then she told them all to go home..........
She calmed down quickly though and onto the beach we went.............I've never seen so many people before in one place
This sandcastle competition was a bit weird mind.....there were no children building them and there were no 'sand castles' to speak of anywhere.........there were lots of grown ups building all kinds of things in the sand..............
This is an 'arangatang' park!!........the nice man was more than amused when Kaye asked if I could sit on their 'castle' for a picture after hearing about my adventures. He was a nice chap though and even had a quick chat with me while carrying me over........
Ooohh just to let you know..........these guys came second........
We then went off and hunted for the winner..........it turned out to be an 'African swamp'........it was really clever.....elephants and snakes and even a crocodile........I wasn't sat there long as the croc was sneaking up behind me............
Then we went to see a giant sand boat.......we didn't really stay still as my little friends were getting a bit tired by now........
Then.......well........you should have seen Kaye's face.........my two little friends were holding onto me for a picture on the edge of the sea when..........well....I'm sure you can guess.........that falling down water stuff that Grandma fed me couldn't have worn off.........and I fell over.........nose first into the wet sand!!
I was ok though and was swiftly picked up and put back in position.......... look at my sandy nose though..........
I then went on the tractor that cleans the beach up during the day.....I was a bit small.......but it was fun......
I was a bit thirsty after all my work so went to the over priced portable grockle coffee van and had a cuppa..........I couldn't carry the cup mind as it was nearly as big as me and was very hot........
Kaye then thought that she had better at least take one picture of herself.............she wasn't pleased about it mind but did say that with the sea breeze she would join the Queen on the bad hair day front.......
My little friend then thought it would be fun to bury her dad and everyone came in to help her............he wasn't a big fan of me and refused to have a photo taken with me all day...............until that is.......he couldn't move..........I jumped on quickly and Kaye snapped away while laughing a lot.............
I also saw my pinkador Spencer while we were there and kept a close eye on him to make sure he didn't get too hot..........
Well that was my day..........another warm one expected today .......note to self.........put another bottle of after sun in the fridge for Kaye...........
Hope you are all keeping cool in this heat and I'll sit and wait to find out what we have planned for today............
Hugs and licks

Hi Barco
Hope you are ok after your nose dive into the water .
Wow i've never seen anything on the sand like them castle thingys, your a lucky pup.
Did you help to bury your little friends dad that looked real fun must try that someday .
Glad to see your still helping with pinkador making sure he doesn't get too hot, that's a real important job.
Hope you remembered to put Auntie Kayes after sun in the fridge, maybe she won't shout at the grockles today if she's nice and cool
Think you should give Auntie Kaye your bandana to help with her bad hair day
Have fun today
woofs & licks for you and bailey
