So to sum up - from recently (June 1st I believe - could be wrong by a few weeks) all Optigen results will be automatically passed along to the Uk KC and logged and published. Therefore dogs that are produced from those dogs who are clear by parentage will have this logged on their registration certificates alongside their parents hip, eye and elbow results.
However of course any dogs tested before the publication date started, and their owners haven't passed along the result to the Kennel Club themselves, will not show a result and therefore any offspring of them will not show as clear by parentage and so on down the line. The ball needs starting rolling somewhere on that chain. And submitting the tested dogs details is the only way, you can't tell the KC that your dog is clear by parentage, they have to know that proven by way of both its parents having a clear optigen result logged with them.
