   |

Hi all,
We're fostering a black lab x pup, 8 weeks old, from this weekend onwards. I'd like a crate for him, especially as I have a toddler and 5 month old baby so would like to give the little guy a safe haven so he can escape!
Is there anybody that would be kind enough to lend one to me? I would imagine it would only be for a couple of weeks - somehow I don't think he'll be looking for a home for long! We're fostering him on behalf of Irish Retriever Rescue, they have a litter coming over for rehoming in the UK.
We're in Amersham, Bucks.
Thank you! Lucy. x

Hi Lucy - I have two 20" crates that IRR can have (seeing as I have two dogs from IRR!) but I am miles away from you. If someone is coming Chippenham way they are more than welcome to collect them both. 20" would be big enough for the short stay while they are tiny. Let me know if its any good to you. Pauline has my email address if you are in touch with her.

I have a 36" crate which Dora is fast losing interest in and has moved into Willow's at every opportunity.
I am in Hersham Surrey close to Sandown Racecourse- could meet you halfway one weekend......or evening.,.......

Sonia - thanks for the offer. You're a bit too far away from us but I will pass your very kind offer on to Pauline, I'm sure she'll be thrilled with extra supplies.
Suzanne - thanks very much, I might take you up on that if I can't find one closer if that's ok? I'll happily come and collect it though, don't see why you should have to drive halfway! I'll be in touch, will see if I get any other offers over the next 48hrs. Thanks so much.
Denise - hello! The famous Pudsey's foster mum no less! We're in Amersham, Bucks. This pup will be our fifth foster doggie for IRR (we also foster for Dalmatian Welfare too) but our first pup. I'm sure I'll have my sensible head on and realise that keeping him isn't an option with a 5 month old baby and toddler to deal with as well but dh is a big black lab fan so will have to keep a close eye on him and make sure his heart isn't stolen!! No doubt the pups will all find good homes very quickly though, we'll just do our best to look after him in the meantime. Bring on the puddles on the floor, chewed toys, etc, etc - and it'll be a change for a pup to keep us awake at night rather than a baby!!

Thanks very much for the offers I've received, I'm now sorted as one of the other IRR ladies has generously offered me a brand new one she is having delivered this week! She's also the transporter for the pups so it's nice and easy for me to get it too as she can just bring it with her.
Thanks again to Sonia, Suzanne and Denise though for your kind offers.
Lucy.
