Yes most Labs seem to enjoy laying on their back with their feet in the air.
Where is the smell coming from? I know most Labs have smelly feet; Mojos smell of a cross between popcorn and Basmati rice (I quite like it actually ), but if the smell is coming from his ears he could have an ear infection, or if it is his breath he could have teeth troubles, or if it is a sort of fishy smell coming from his rear end he may need his anal glands emptied.

Buster is a dog, thats why he smells doggy , seriously tho, we have our own smell to, we just cover it by using deodarants etc, if there anywhere you can take Buster for a swim?, he`ll smell like wet dog for a while but once dry should be better, or you could use a hose on him in the garden or bath him, but if you go down the bath route don`t do it to often because it`ll strip the oils out of his coat and could give him skin problems.
Yes its perfectly normal for him to be lying on his back showing off the family jewels , its sposed to mean a dog is perfectly at ease when in that position because he`s at his most vulnarable showing his/her belly

As for smelly spraying, as has already been said, people smell and dogs smell, it's natural. A dog's smell identifies him/her to other dogs. I'd advise against bathing it can damage their skin and coat. Dogs are not vain they don't need smellies.
Do you live anywhere near corn fields? My two love to run through the corn (or wheat or whatever) especially when or after it's raining. They get a good natural soaking and the corn stalks rub their coat. Once they have had a good rub down and dry off they have lovely soft clean coats. You do have to put up with the damp doggy smell for a bit but I like that.
