last couple of days bob has had really stinky breath I havent changed his diet or anything else anyone have any suggestions why its happening and how i cant stop it

Hi Shona

Is Bob ok now? I believe that bad breath in dogs can be caused by problems with teeth and gums. A telephone call to your vet might help to put your mind at rest. There is also some useful information here:-

I do hope that Bob is ok now though and that his breath is a bit sweeter smelling! Wink

well not really he is now not eating so i am thinking a trip to the vet is more than likely and i'm gonna get stressed by this cos hes not the friendliest...........

Sorry to hear that Bob is not eating now. I think you're right - a trip to the vet sounds best (though sorry to hear he's not too friendly). Please let us know how you get on and give Bob a big cuddle from me for being a brave boy.

Oh Shona, it does make me wonder if everything's connected. First he stops eating, now he has bad breath..... If it does turn out out be a bad tooth, I wonder if that has been what's making him grumpy and a bit defensive too. Confused

he had bad breath first Smile
now hes eating again
i havent taken him to the vet cos ive been really sick since thursday last week

i thought i had the flu but i have an infection in my leg and its not healing so im on crutches at the moment cos i can hardly walk

bob seems back to his normal self which is good
and has been brilliant while ive not been well
