Is it just me or is HD getting worse in labs, it seems everytime i switch on LF its seems another person is telling us that their lab has HD.

It seems we just cant get the message across that breeding un health check pups is not good!

I think it's hard to judge really...as a lot of people only look on the internet once they have a problem..and that's how they find us. I wouldn't have found this place if it hadn't been for Mojo's elbows. Wink

It does seem that way Denise but I think really it's probably because a lot of people are now surfing the internet for advice and finding LF thus asking for help.

As JohnW once pointed out - people don't put a post up saying 'my lab DOESN'T have HD'

I will have to agree with Jules, there has been a more posts but i think that once 1 person posts, this gives others the courage to post too.
Its the same as all other posts,we get them in droves once 1 has posted lol

Can I ask, what is the process to have their hips scored?

After reading everything on there about HD I am actually a little worried about Leo - his father was KC registered but his mother wasn't, and we don't have any hipscores from his parents.

He's 20 months old now - is it worth getting him hip scored?

Thanks

Vicki

I agree with the above, but also think that advances in vetinerary medicine mean that dogs that would have been undiagnosed or diagnosed and PTS in the past are now being treated and returning to full activity levels.
