I know I couldn't use them on any of my dogs, as I agree with Becs. Its hard enough with both Doobs and Millie both being jumpy at traffic let alone adding to it.

But as a training aid, and used correctly, I can see why some may have to use it - I guess its like the squirt of water (again, not for my dogs) but used for those who are confident.

Bling one of the labs at work owes his life to the master plus collar, he was wearing the collar in the garden to prevent him from jumping the fences, when he goes out for his walk i always take it off but the day in question i left it on and took the remote out with me something i never do, that day i took him into the horse field with Bo, i alsways check to see where the horses are before going in and as the horses were at teh bottom and the stile is in the middle it was safe to let the dogs off, they saw a rabbit and headed of in pursuit, at the same time as they headed off a horse came running out of a corner straight at bling, bling didnt recall but was heading straight for the horse i quickly pressed the remote and lucky enough he was still in range, he dropped to the ground just as the horse kicked out missing him by inches, if he hadnt have dropped to avoid the spray (it had turned around as he was runningso was above rather than below his head) the horse would have kicked him square in the head and most certainly have killed him before the incident he had taken to chasing horses that were close, which is what he was most probably thinking of doing, he no longer chases he does get excited at the sight of horses but no longer attempts to chase.
The master plus collar saved his life and gave him his freedom, but if used incorrectly can cause more problems than good
