Hi
I have asked this Question before in the general lab forum, and I did get someone kind enough to do some research for me, but they were unable to find anything out, the only thing they did find was that there were 6 litters of pups with Yellow dogs in the litter, born and registered on the 01/01/05.
We have got a Yellow lab we had from our local dogs home 4 months ago, he was born on the 01/01/05, we didn't get any paperwork with him and would love to know that his pedigree is, we live in the Stoke-On-Trent area of Staffordshire we have the vet's history, and have contacted them who have written to the previous owners to ask if they have the papers or at least his pedigree name, but we have not had any reply.
We do not wish to bread him, infact he went to the vets on Tuesday of this week to be castrated, we just want to be able to see where he came from and get his pedigree papers from the KC.
Any help with this would be gratefully received or even if someone could give us an Idea of how to progress this.
Sorry Hobbit, but it is an almost impossible search. When you imagine that there were over 47000 labradors registered that year and the details of your litter could be in either of two, or maybe even three of the quarterly Breed Record Supplements it would mean a search through 20000 to 30000 records. Out of these, with only the date to go on there would possibly be a thousand dogs which could fill that requirement. Without a little more to go on I'm afraid it's a lost cause.
