lab's are so clever
normally around six rolo will place her self at the front door and moan and wine until my OH comes home, tonight she didn't (not even a wine) he has gone away on a trip, but how the heck do dogs know that some one isn't coming home
she can do this with my daughter as well. i must give off some kind of signal.
just another thing my dog can amaze me with lol

I saw a program ages ago about dogs who always seem to know when their owners are coming home!! it's amazing how clever they are. Alfie's always asleep in his crate whenever i get home though Rolling Eyes

My dads lab knows when its time for me to walk home from work and collect my car from his drive( can never get parking in town). He says she sits and whines softly until he lets her out around 4.45pm and she meets me on the path. Escorting me into his house for a cuppa before i go home.
