Charlie was also microchipped at his first vaccinations and there were no problems. He flinched once as it went in, but that was that and it was all over in 2 seconds. I am also going to look into having him tattooed in the New Year.

I must admit I would be a little wary of the man you describe and keep your dog on the lead when in his vicinity.
