Were going to Scarborough over Easter for 10 days and taking the pup with us (9months old) and need a few ideas besides beaches and parks as to where we could go. I have found a web site that tells me all the pubs/eating places we can go but I obviously don't want to spend all my time in the pub (hubby might Laughing ) I have looked for books on ebay/amazon etc but as far as I can see there all hotels/B&Bs which are no good to me as we have a caravan. ANY suggestions will be greatly appreciated. The only place I've ever come across that catered for dogs etc was longleat safari park, they had day kennels you could use as the dogs weren't allowed in the zoo park.

Unfortunately the weather forecast isn't very good for next week but you never know, they may get it wrong. Razz

Longleat is a long way from Scarborough. Razz

As for dog friendly venues, it depends what you want.
There are miles of coastal walks.
There is Dalby Forest and many interesting villages and other places on the North York Moors (including the steam railway).

If you are looking for indoor venues that allow dogs then there are not many that I can think of. http://www.edencamp.co.uk/ is one but it's a while since I've been and the rules may have changed.

Have you looked on the Scarborough tourist website and the borough council website?

Very Happy

Snap - we are off in that direction for Easter too!!

I have found the Eden Camp War Museum is dog friendly and we are planning on going to Dalby forest too. We are also planning on going to the North York Steam Railway.

If anyone else knows of anything else interesting for kids and dog friendly too I would be interested to know as well.

Chloe
