Hi Sally Lou, Good Luck with your new pup! There will be moments when you ask yourself 'why did I do this?' but the good outweighs the bad a million times over! I have used a crate with all my dogs. When Echo was little she used to fall esleep wherever she was at the time, but I always picked her up and popped her into her crate so she got used to waking up in it. The first fews nights she would grizzle at bed time but I just sat next to the crate reading a book and occasionally mumbling a few soothing words, and she got used to falling asleep in it really quickly. Try to keep your pup awake for a good hour before you want her to go down for the night so she is ready to sleep. Let us know how you get on - I love hearing about new pups - it makes me all broody again! Becs
