Joseph has quite a few English dogs on his pedigree and his father is from the other side of Norway. It turns out that he is the result of artificial insemination.

Just wondered out of interest how common this is now?

I have seen a dog in Sweden, and would like to have a litter by Artificial Insemination (AI). What are the requirements?

The Kennel club will always consider a request for the registration of puppies produced by artificial insemination. However, it is mandatory that the applicant (the owner of the bitch to be artificially inseminated) obtains Kennel Club approval for the procedure prior to the insemination.
