I`ve been through the thread I started on what games we should play with our Labs at this years GT, thank you all for your suggestions, I`ve had to leave some out because there were so many
I`m doing this as a poll, that way everyone gets to make their choice and the top 4 will be the ones we`ll do, I know I said Labrafooty and the Sausage and Spoon race were definates, but if some of the others will be more popular then we`ll go for those
Would definately like to do an agility type course, this wouldn`t include things like the A frame for obvious reasons, some of the pups will be too small and others (like CJ) to daft to not jump off before they should
Julie is trying to source some equipment for us for the agility, and taking on board someone`s suggestion of a water based game, have thought of including a pool for the Labs to go through as well.
Entry will be 50p per dog per game and the money taken will be split between the following charities:
- Hearing Dogs For The Deaf
- Dogs For The Disabled
- Guidedogs
- Canine Partners
Oh Mary - there are so many to chose from! I would enter Doobs in for most of those (and Gracie too ). The footie one would be fun as Doobs would run off with the ball Actually, better leave Doobs out of that one then The sausage and spoon race, well Doobs would eat the sausage (and spoon I am sure! lol) Doobs would be great at Musical Statues And the agiltiy he would love and the frisbee one! Oh decisions, decisions.......
LOL Sonia, would love to include them all but that would take up to much time I think! , a few sausages didn`t make it to the end of the race last year as I recall
I'd love some sort of agility/obstacle course, although not sure Corbie would I tried to get him to jump over a home-made jump... whilst I was doing really well at it, he kept running around it
Don't ask me to go through one of those tunnels. I'd get stuck and embarrass myself.
Seriously though, there is so much there that I know Charlie would love, even though he has never done any of it before. I wish I could vote for more than one.
Don`t think we`d ask the dults to do the tunnel, we are borrowing one from Sheena (thanks to you Sheena ), designed for kids but big enough for a Lab , will be a laugh though watching the handler trying to persuade the Lab through, can see a sudden rise in sales of tunnels for practise purposes prior to the GT
