Hi welcome to LF - if you post the names of the dogs from the full 5 generations (or as many as you have the patience to type out) you may get more distant relations too if yu are interested in that
Nice working lines there! The O'Brian's Tettermore Trout who contains such dogs as Leacross Rinkals, Swinbrook Tan, Derryboy Daniel, the world famous Hedenham Park Dash of Philray who was bred by Frank Clitheroe and won the IGL Retriever Championship in 1976. Dash's dam was Hedenham Park Holcot Fay who had the very rare distinction of winning the IGL Retriever Championship on TWO occasions for Frank, in 1973 and again in 1974! Tasco Boris, bred by Alan Rountree and his late wife, Millbuies Brook of Leadburn, Bred by J Mitchell and owned by Billy Steel, Dave Garbutt's Pocklea Remus, probably the bets known working Labrador!
Oh he did Jules! As Miller and I were discussing on another thread, there are few lines free of him. This of course causes a genetic bottleneck in working lines. Almost every possible stud dog will only bring the same set of genes into the mating. Good as he was, I feel sad that he has had such an effect on working line. I've commented about Ruler of Blaircourt and the effects he had on show lines, but in the days of Ruler, so much less was known about the genetic implications. But these days we know the problems which can be caused by jumping on the band waggon and using the flavour of the month.
Hi a Pocklea Remus Cousin here too- both mine have him at third and forth generation respectivley, I doubt very much if there are many big names that he isnt related to by 'marriage' or line!!!!!
