Ok you have me worried now that im undefeeding Abs Sad

i have just upped her to 275g per day from 250g

I have always just based it on the min of 10g per 1 kg.

She does have her kong and treats on top of her daily allowance.

My OH said she looks slim Crying or Very sad You can feel her ribs but not see them so im sure she is ok.

sure she is ok on that Abbey - is she still gaining weight? I kept Ruby at the 16g per kilo just because she stopped gaining when I reduced her at 6 months old.

She didnt gain any weight from 6-8 months but she put on 2 kg in 3 weeks. She is 25kg now. I am sure she will slow down now anyway as shes getting bigger and not put so much weight on am i right in thinking?

at that weigth I would assume most of her growing has been done - Ruby is still only 18.5kg and got 'stuck' at 16kg thats why I increased. She is gaining a steady half kilo atm each week and I am keeping her at 300g until her weight catches up. I am going on the feel but not see ribs method. My current sig pic was her on sunday so thinjk she is pretty perfect Razz

This has confused Confused me a little as I feed Simba purina bakers. I have been giving her 225-250g a day over three feeds plus treats/kongs. The back of the pack suggests at her age (15 weeks) she should be having a lot more as it goes on the weight the dog will be as an adult. Am I overfeeding her? She is slim at the moment, at the puppy class the teacher said she was just right as the choc lab was slightly overweight.

Hi Kurt

go by the guide lines on your food. Because burns is a high meat content food you actually feed less , so dont worry about the amounts i use as its based on Burns dog food.
Sorry if ive confused you.
