I am changing my car and need some advice. I currently have a large petrol car a ford c-max the boot is huge and the dogs love it. They more or less have their own room in the back the boot is sooo big. However it's costing me a fortune in petrol about £60 a week it only does 32 to a gallon.
I want a diesel car that is economical I need something that does about 60 to the gallon. I can only spend at the most £10,000. Any suggestions????
I'm no help at all we needed a dog car and have just bought a C-Max! My other car is a Fiat Panda very economical brilliant in snow and ice but not a lot of dog space (Sam will only get in the back if I lift him as apparently its too high ) How about a Citroen Belingo Multipace if you get one of the XTR ones they're disesel and have the best kit, they're huge but supposed to be economical to run and cheap to fix. You can buy a good one second hand for about £7-8k.
I'd avoid Citroen if I were you ..... I have broken down twice in one week and its one thing after another with Citroen. EVERY month Ive had to have something done!
The last fault coming to £900 + VAT!
I'm getting another run around this week .... a Kia Sorento .... Diesel, loads of room, cheaper than my ruddy Citroen to maintain. Much older than my Citroen, but its a workhorse
I love my Citroen
We swapped out Kia Sedona las summer for a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso and I love it - loads of room for 2 chunky chocs
I have the same Wendy. OK if it still has warranty I suppose. Mine doesnt anymore - and the minute it finished, the problems started.
I was at Citroen only yesterday and the place was packed with people who had broken down etc. Thats the trouble with these "all electric" cars ....I'm going back to bog standard lol .... less to go wrong x
There is a lot of 'fancy stuff' to go wrong (it's all a bit of a novelty still to me ). Ours is 08 plate and under warranty until July. We did have to take it back to have the petrol cap sorted as when we pressed it inside it woildn't open, but that was sorted. Also OH broke the electronic boot catch cos he was pressing and pulling it instead of just pressing it. They replaced that FOC too
