They are real characters Tracey. Actually a Lab and a basset are a good combination. One is good and listens to almost everything I say, the other has a mind of his own. Together they provide hours of entertainment.

Welcome to LF - all of them are lovely dogs Very Happy

I also have a soft spot for Bassets and nearly got one, but as I had Beagles when I was young, I know how deaf they can be Laughing I decided to get a dog that would listen to me (some of the time at least Wink Laughing ). The name Watson suits him down to the ground Very Happy

I agree with the other comments, the dogs are lovely and the names really suit them, Bassets and Labs, do seem to go together well too.
I have a dream, to get Toby a chocolate brother, when Toby hits 2, later in the year, A Darcey/Alfie lookalike will do nicely.

Have you had two dogs before Gary? I have always had two. I enjoy the interaction that they can have with each other. I also think they keep each other company when I am off doing boring things.
