Ive just subsribed here, I have posted a thread in introductions Smile

I want to show you the stuff I have already got for my puppy.

before the pup arrives I am planning on also getting:

- Puppy kong
- Nylabone keys
- Rope tug

Is there anything else that you can think of that will be good?

Lucky Pup! Maybe just an old thick sheet or towel to cover the crate to make it more den like...

Good luck!

Blimey you are organised! Smile
Our cooper loved and still loves soft toys to snuggle up with. We found kids soft toys, that are stiff so they sit/lie in position (if that makes sense) last much longer than any you can get at pet shops. We get ours from charity shops (or if you have a hubby like mine who likes to rummage in skips!!!).
Just take off tags and plastic eyes etc.

Lots of towels and kitchen roll. (puppy pads are generally thought to be a hindrance to housetraining)

A kong is a really good idea to keep your pup occupied. You can stuff them with all sorts and gives them something to think about.

If you're like me, that crate will be arranged and rearranged umpteen times until Easter. Smile

Very organised indeed! Yes I think you just need more towels and more blankets you might also want some bio washing powder or a special spray for accidents and spills. Ooh and maybe some kind of restraint for the car depending on what you drive and if you're likely to go out and about in the car.

And I happen to know you've got your whistle, ready to start basic training; have you found a good puppy class locally, or trainer?

I'd go for a 42" crate if I were you - my boy outgrew his 36" one by the time he was 7 months old Smile

Is it Hills Science that he's being fed at the moment with the breeder?

Oh, lots of cardboard boxes - they were Blue's favourite toy when he was little.

The reasons why i am going to fr 36inch are that the mum is the smallest lab i have seen and dad is also quite small, they are working strain and ive only got a 36inch gap to put it!

The breeder said they pups will be raised on hills science plan - she did say she would give us some but that wont last long and i don't want to change the food too early.

how about:

poo bags
brush / nail clippers / ear cleaner / toothpaste (always good to get them used to being groomed from an early age)
flea and worm stuff (it's been years since I had a pup, but don't they need doing fairly regularly?)
