Just to reassure you that you're doing the right thing with the de-pluming and not using Toby as a stud - have a look at the thread about getting the stud onto the bitch - it made me wince as I read it - not least finding out that the stud can end up with a fractured penis bone!
Hope everything goes well, looking forward to seeing the newly chilled out Toby on the next GT
Though I suspect that Jack is going to be disappointed!
I`m sure Toby will be out and about with his mate Tucker very soon after his op, I know the thought of the snip for a dog makes a bloke`s eyes water but really, the dog has no idea whats happened.
Best of luck friday from me too !!!
Kenko's only 8 months old... up 'till what age could he have the same Op' as Toby ?
From what i've been told on here, if you leave it too long, it might be too late, as the sexual behaviour is in their memory banks, so they still go chasing.
The vets said i was definitely doing the right thing, as they have seen too many dogs that have got injured or even killed, whilst chasing the skirt.
Paddy my last dog and Tyson before him, were not chasers and therefore kept their bits, but Toby, as gorgeous as he is, is a "bogger" and i know he is a danger to himself.
I just want friday over and done with very quickly now that i have made the decision.
Gary and Toby.
He'll be home for BIG snuggles Friday evening and by Saturday evening you'll be wishing he'd had more sedative put in his system! Just think of all that loose lead walking you can practise while he recovers... stock up on the little pocket treats - 5mins of training here and there will help to tire him out ... and chews!!
Tucker says he won't miss 'em... most of the time!
Lets hope he doesn't drag you along, across the fields,to the place where he last saw the Beagle during his post Op' recovery !!
I'll be very interested to learn how he is when recovered.I might have to go down the same road with Kenko.
Keep us posted Gary,,please !!

He'll be fine, in fact he'll probably love it - if it's anything like our vets he'll be spoilt rotten, won't want to come home and wonder what all the fuss has been about
You've definitely made the right decision for him.
