Hi all, My name is Jes, I live in central Australia. I have a 6 year old pure breed, Black Labrador Willow. He is an absolute gem. He is the funniest most loyal dog, who is great with out kids.
We are also thinking (well I have made up my mind lol) about adopting a Labrador x Golden retreiver from the local shelter. She is absouletly gorgeous, and although not pure breed lab, is very gorgeous.
She is 7 months. (i have already added her to my profile, i'm that certain we will get her lol)

is it ok that I join with a cross Labrador?

anyway, looking forward to discussing Labs, they really are the best dogs!

Welcome to LF Jes and yes you're very welcome to join with a Lab cross (they let me stay and I have POODLES Shocked Wink Laughing ) .

I puppy walked a Lab x Golden Retriever for Guide Dogs a few years ago, as it's the most popular type of dog we use over here for the job. She was a lovely girl, really placid and sweet natured and she went on to become a fantastic Guide Dog for a man who had never had a dog, let alone a Guide Dog before. I know a fair few of this cross and most are really good dogs. I'd quite happily have one myself.

Good luck with your new pupster and we look forward to hearing all about her and your Willow Very Happy.

G'day and welcome. Looking forward to some photos of Willow and Bow Very Happy
Well done on taking a rescue. We recently had a yellow lab cross golden retriever in our local rescue, and she was absolutely adorable. Such a big bundle of fur and cuddles. She went to a loving home who reported they would not ever want to be without her and they too had a resident lab as a companion.

Welcome, Jess. Sounds like exciting plans afoot for you. Very Happy

You don't have to own just labradors to be a member here. I keep a cocker spaniel alongside my own labrador, and quite often mention her on here too.

Hope the adoption of your proposed new rescue dog goes as planned. Do try to post piccies if you can. We lurrve them on here. Very Happy
