Thank you Tracy for asking this as I was wondering this myself!

We always fed Belle first due to our routine but she could sometimes be a little monkey and I thought it might be due to dominance issues (she was also allowed up on sofa, through doors first, in general just spoilt Embarassed ).

So we thought maybe start fresh with Tiana and I read (maybe on here) that eating a biscuit before feeding them would help and it sounded like a good idea. But now I have heard all the replies I don't think I'll bother!! I definitely won't be spitting on her food anytime soon either.... Laughing

I have found a routine with Bella and Shadow that regulates their "poohing!" schedule to suit me (a lovely subject I know!). This means they get breakfast and dinner before me, but when I'm having my dinner they get a frozen kong each to keep them busy, which is part of their evening meal allowance.

My dogs have always been allowed on the sofa etc, since I was a child. I don't consider it spoilt, but rather my choice for these very important members of our family Smile

Bella and Shadow have the majority of the sofa and I get squashed on the end (it is a 3 seater sofa) Rolling Eyes Anyone that sits in their "spot", will just get sat on by them Laughing Seems only fair to me ... they live here, not the visitor Wink Laughing

All my dogs have sat on the sofa all big dogs as well Max is the first to choose the floor over a bed or sofa he just likes the floor for some reason at his KC traing class they asked where your dog sleeps as you must provide them with somewhere to sleep I said" Any where he wants hates the dog bed hates the sofa he likes the floor so I am fine with it we really don't have any Alpha dog issues going on he is just a happy dog Very Happy
