I'm not sure getting a ceramic bowl would help your situation like suggested as our labrador of similar age tries to pick hers up in her mouth. She is at the stage of trying to pick up anything with her mouth, from her heavy ceramic bowl or mugs that we drink from.
We don't have this water problem with Myka but I can suggest a non-spill water bowl. We have one that we bought for traveling in the car, might be worth a go? They can work well even in the house and its not to hard to get them to learn how to use the bowl. i remember the instructions with ours suggesting to start with taking the inner out (that stops the spills) and just adding water. So they get used to it being a water bowl and then add the inner again.
The only problem I can see with the above is if your lab is anything like ours then it might not work. Myka chews everything and that kind of bowl would not be safe with her. She'd destroy it easily .
Hope this helps and if not that you find a solution that works for you;. Labrador puppies hey? bloody hard work!

Bella has been known to do this and managed to crack a ceramic bowl when she dropped it! My solution was to buy a larger bowl and although she has tried, she can't pick it up

Nothing brings the blood pressure down like rugby tackling an evil labrador. I'm never satisfied until all four paws are off the ground.

Cooper's waterbowl is outside for this very reason. He too used to love paddling, tipping it over and then laying in the resultant puddle.
So he has a heavy ceramic one (the beige colour with "dog" written round the side) and it lives outside. He is crated during the day, so has no access to water for about 3 hours. BUt we always make sure he has water when he is let out, when we come back in from walk, and he always has his food soaked in warm water, so we make sure he is hydrated.
