Mahsa is shedding her puppy coat...bloody great clumps of hair coming out when I stroke her!
I know it's natural and part of the growing up she has to do...but how one will this last?

Paws took the words out my mouth , but just to make you feel a little better, it does lessen slightly in between [sometimes].
I have become immune, and have a good clean up when someones coming .

welcome to owning a lab, you'll be hard pressed to see a hair free floor or have hair free clothes again.

I agree with all of the above, it never ends.
I can recommend either a Henry Hound or a Dyson

Welcome to Labrador world. You have to get used to sweeping and hoovering rather a lot.
You could always try to spin the hair into a ball of wool and knit a jumper with it.

I'll give you some hope It does lessen a bit between the major shedding times
When I got Shadow I was getting handfuls of hair in my hands as I stroked her, but 2 months later, it is much better and I no longer have brown fur carpets Bella has also just been through a major shedding phase because of her season, but has also stopped. I can now get away with vacuuming once every two days rather than twice a day

Yep, I think you had better get used to clean carpets being a thing of the past! I brush and vacuum once a day here, but it could do with being done morning and evening really (but I only do that if I have visitors )
Haven't you noticed how many "cleaning" threads appear on here?
