I am trying not to worry, her scar from the recent spay was looking pretty good until this morning.
When she had her breakfast I did the usual check and it was a looking slightly red and moist, so I cleaned her up and dabbed it dry, she is such a good girl and lets you do anything, but later on today when I looked again it was leaking and the redness had increased and felt hot, alarm bells started to ring it did not look good.
Took her straight to vet and she thinks it is a reaction to the disolvable stitches and infection from the little tag [where stitches start] that was poking out where the redness started has travelled along underneath the skin to the other end of stitches.
They gave me a strong antibiotic and Metacam for tonight but want to see her first thing tomorrow morning, and no brekkie just in case they have to cut her and re-do if there is no improvement.
I have a bad feeling about this, it has all happened so quickly Crying or Very sad , I really don't want her to have another GA so soon after the spay and recent C'section.

If you have any spare healing vibes going spare it may help, I can't think of anything else Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad .

June

Poor Suzie dog - when was she spayed - as mine was done last week and has dissolvable stitches so I will need to keep an eye out.

Fingers and paws crossed for a quick recovery.

OMG not suprised you are worried but sounds like you couldn't have caught it any quicker.

Lots of good vibes coming your way and really hope there is good news at the vets tomorrow.

Jules, spay was on the 6th [2 wks an 4 days] . I would do a pic but don't want to disturb her, she is just starting to get droopy.

Sounds like you have been on the ball and caught this quick, so well done.
Really hope Suzie has a good nights sleep and is soon on the mend.
Take Care.
