Not sure if this is better in here, health or gundoggery!
When Gillie swims, he makes a very odd noise a bit like a seal. It's as if he is closing off his throat with his tongue to stop water going down if that makes any sense. Once he is out, his breathing goes back to normal. He doesn't cough, hasn't been sick or hand any other issues.
Has anyone else come across this?

My 13 month old makes a whistling noise when swimming if she has a dummy in her mouth, no noise at all when going out for the retrieve. Normal for some dogs.

i know what you mean - tiber makes a weird noise when he is swimming with something in his mouth. I just thought it was him breathing noisily with something in his mouth whilst trying to stop water coming in! Doesn't slow him down or make him any less water obsessed thats for sure!

Lux is an extremely noisy swimmer outside and at hydrotherapy with or without anything in his mouth   He almost snorts  he swims like a little motor boat he loves it but sooo noisy
