Hi! I'm new to the forums having just found you all on Google.
I'm not new to Labs, we had one when I was a little girl (so quite a while ago!) his name was Shadow and he lived to be an old happy guy of 14. Then I rescued a lab/staffie cross called Murphy who had many health issues due to the dreadful state he was in before he came to live with me and unfortunately he passed away in 2007.
The week before Christmas, there were 3 little lab puppies in the local pound, we went to pick up one and came home with two! The male had been reserved and we couldn't bear to see one little girl left there by herself, so now Chelsea and China live with us. We think they are about 4 months old now, and the girls are growing like weeds!
People told us that we shouldn't have two puppies of the same age or the same litter together but there was terrible pressure as any dogs left in the pound on the 23rd were all going to be put to sleep, so hey ho- we're willing to put the extra work in but will probably be needing advice and lots of it! Anyway, better stop yapping on and see if I can get these photos uploaded!

Congratulations on your new additions Smile

I guess anyone in your position would have found it hard to have left one little pup in the pound with that prospect ahead so don't worry.

Am sure I would be the owner of two pups too if I had been in your situation, despite the fact that two litter mates seems to be VERY hard work. How anyone could have left one behind Crying or Very sad
They are beautiful girls and am sure it will all work out in the end. A friend of mine has two sisters and they are now 4 and well rounded. An extremely difficult decision...
Well done for the rescue xxx

Lovely pics.... and, to be fair, if there EVER was a solid reason for taking the step of taking on litter siblings or two the same age, thats probably as good as i've ever heard Wink Its going to be very hard, but good on you for saving the life of one of them.

Di
