I am not sure it is the price as some of it is regional. An elderley couple on a farm in my village charge £350 and they are super Labradors but I would consider the pedigree more than the price.
Make a list of what you want the dog for like field trial, agility, companion, walking and then select the pup.

Could I just ask, to satisfy my own interest, exactly what type of pup are you buying?

Is it from show/working lines? If so, from lines that are doing well in either sphere?

What health tests have been done on the parents?

Hope you don't mind me asking.

Andrew

Nope have no problem talking about her, at all.

Her sire is from show stock, they both have full pedigree and they are pretty perfect when it comes to health testing. Including blood being sent to the USA for additional dna tests.

I used a well known website to start but have seen all the certificates, and spent time exchanging information with the breeder.

hope that helps.

Monty cost £500 about 8 years ago (sadly at rainbow bridge)
His full name was Scherzando Paddington as was bred by Chris Bridgewater in Winchester. KC Reg. His parents had all of the correct health tests and he was working.

My pup that I am getting in April is going to cost £550 if a boy and £600 for a girl. The pups are KC reg, and mum had hips, elbows and eyes. Dad has hips, elbows, eyes, Optigen and EIC. The mum is a working family pet that they have decided to breed (this is her second litter). Dad is a FTCh.

If you want some more info just shout.

Top of the line around £600 up here. If it to steep on the pocket, be surprised how many young Labrador end up in rescrue centre. If you want put extra idea in the pan for food for thought.

Regards
