Both mine were £500, Indie's the oldest, she's 6 1/2. I think it depends on breeding, and where you are in the country as well, I've seen prices range up to £750 for nicely bred Lab pups, although most seen to be between £550 to £650 ish, for well bred pups.

I didn't even ask with my flatcoat pup until I was due to go and see if I wanted to bring her home (like I would have left her), she was £750.

Coco was £550 9 years ago but I have paid more recently €1,400 for a French bred show quality pup (6 years ago). Between £500 and £750 seems to be the sort of range I've seen in the uk. If I have another it'll be most likely to be from a uk breeder (or my friend Val in northern France who has carpenny dogs).

we paid £650 for Jessie back in August 2011, as othes have said I think the going rate seems to be £550-£750. I would be wary of anything less than £500 tbh

I paid less than that for Coco. She has a full pedigree, KC registration and both parents were hip and elbow scored as well as eye tested. When I bought her the going price was anything up to £700 for KC registered pups from health tested parents and unregistered pups were £300 upwards.

A general rule of thumb is probably that you need to be very careful with cheaper pups, but then again there will be dodgy breeders who charge over the odds for not very good dogs too.

In view of you having previous experience of owning a lab, have you considered rehoming a rescue? They do range in age from pup to oldies, although the youngsters seem to get re-homed much quicker. There are many lab rescues around the country and many post on here as well Wink
