Jasper, a 14month chocolate lab ( who somewhere down the line has been crossed with a weimarana) has just joined us from the labrador Rescue centre)
As a rescue dog he obviously has a few problems so i will be asking for some help very soon.

Sothanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forums.

New member myself too, and got some really helpful advice from people so sure you'll get some great help as and when you need it.

Also well done on taking on a rescue, my dad took in a springer from rescue who had been severely abused from pup and he became one of the best, well-loved dogs we ever had and he is still adorable at 16!!

Regards

Grandpa: The eel doesn't get her. I'm explaining to you because you look nervous.
The Grandson: I wasn't nervous. Maybe I was a little bit "concerned"

Thanks for all the replies.
Not sure how to attach photos as when i click add attachments I get nothing coming up ( and i dont have a clue how to add it as my avitar).

He does look georgous , he is a silvery pale brown ( more galaxy than dairy milk) but the whole lab/weim cross (silver lab) is a very sensative subject.

We got him not because of his colour but because he was just right for us.

Hello and welcome to the forum, I use photobucket to insert photos into posts. It's easy to join, and I'm sure there is a sticky somewhere explaining how to use it, including doing things like resizing photos.

Well done for rescuing, do you know for certain that he's crossed with a weimeraner? I'd imagine a cross would turn out black rather than silver, chocolates do come in a range of shades and are labelled *silver* by a few unscrupulous breeders. Here's a photo of my two I took a couple of years back, they are half sisters and Tau (pale one) is most likely a dilute:

He sounds lovely, a cross between my two favourite breeds. Very Happy

I know someone on the Weimaraner forum who also has a rescue choccie Lab x Weim, he was a very messed up dog when she first had him must be 18mths ago now.
I lost my Weimaraner 5yrs ago, didn't have the heart to fill the huge hole he left with another Weim so hence next best, my Pointer and Lab, I'll have another one day.

Good luck with Jasper and hope to see a photo of him soon! Smile
