Last weekend I saw 'Gayle' on the Labrador Rescue South East & Central website - she was described as being about 8, possibly a LabX and with a bad flea allergy. She had been in kennels after being picked up as a stray.
As you'll know, I've had a few dogs with skin problems so I got in touch with Alison and offered a foster place for Gayle. Today, Wiggle and I drove up to Appledown Kennels to meet her.
I'm not keen on the name Gayle, (sorry to any Gayle's out there!) and with most new or foster dogs, they get a new name with their new start, so please let me introduce Bella
Meeting Sir H:
Despite the lack of fur, that tail goes like the clappers!
First walk with Wiggle:
After coming home and having a Malaseb bath, Bella checked her girly bits were all in order and shows off her baldyness:
As she was still a bit damp when we had our evening walk, Bella borrowed Wiggle's fleece & kept it on when she went to bed:
And is still wearing it, on the sofa, making herself at home
Bella is now fast asleep, twitching her little feet in her sleep...
I think when that fur grows back you`ll find bella is all lab , she looks like she`s made herself well at home with Wiggle and Sir H , whats the betting she`ll end up staying?
Oh Wendy, she is just adorable, bald or not, but Wiggle looks very put out that she has his jumper on
