I have just filled form in for LRRSE, for fostering, is this a different rescue you are talking about. I do have two young children, but I am at home all day. The children are very used to labs as Tia is a fruitloop. So if I can help I will. We have a fenced garden, woods opposite etc etc.

Youve filled in one of my forms. There are loads of rescues that are crying out for foster homes, LRRSE are just one of them.

How do I go about helping out with transporting? We cannot foster at the minute (and trust me, we would be failed fosterers every time!!) due to work commitments but would certainly help out with transporting if we could.

Where are you?

There are 2 ways you can wait and look out for requests for transport requests, and add your details to the database which is a sticky thread in this same section

Little bump from me and Mac

xxx Fostering is wonderful xxx

I now work full time for a charity and work with dog as a kennel maid, its the most wonderful and rewarding job I have ever done.

We get all the dogs fed in the morning, cleaned out and walked, then in the afternoons we show people around and try to pair them with a dog and rehome, as well as play and train the dogs. All our dogs come from the local wardens/ pound and would otherwise be distroid, these dogs are lost or abandoned and do not have chips or ID's and are never claimed.

Mac comes to work with me in the afternoons now hes better and good on his first new hip. Top job perk.

I've fostered before Mac had his first operation and he played mother hen and was great, very rewarding and so special to have had the opportunity to love and look after a dog till a more permanent and good home could be found, I will be doing more fostering after macs second operation and hes fully better. We are also thinking of moving to a bigger house with a larger garden in the next few months.

I thought we had put our names on a data base as potential fosterers but not heard anything! Do I need to sign up or just email/pm peeps?
