I use Advocate for Max but I am a bit peeved as my Vet charges 32.50 for three months supply I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get it a little cheaper for next time I have to get it.

Oh and Max never got weighed because the woman was not the usual one and was not that good with him really but she asked if I was sure he is over 25kg Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes he was 24kg about 2 months ago so I told her she said do you think he has put weight on since Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes he is still young and growing which she knows as she had his record up Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Can you order it online cheaper?

Is it on prescription (will have POM written somewhere on the packaging/leaflet)? If it is then your vet should be able to give you this and you can buy it where you like. Mine writes out prescriptions and tells you where to get the drugs as she can't order them in that cheaply Very Happy

I don't know if they can refuse to give you one but they might charge you a prescription fee just so that you don't save any money. I would ask next time you're in. As my mam used to say "shy bairns get nowt" haha Very Happy

They can't refuse you a prescription, but as mentioned they can charge you a fee, which will depend on the vet and how kind they are feeling, I suspect!

We got a prescription for our Max recently for Advocate - cost us £13 for the prescription, then we bought 6 months supply (maximum allowed by our prescription) from vetuk online - can't remeber how much it was, but we saved overall and it was enough to make it worthwhile doing.

I buy Advocate online from dicountpetcare.co.uk. It is the only place I have found that doesn't require a prescription. You do have to pay postage, but at the moment they are offering 5% discount with a code petdis5 and works out to be £38.13 for 6 months supply. It can take up to 21days to arrive, but in my experience it was more like 7.

Well worth ordering.
