ok, ok he couldn't really give a hoot about your vibes but I need them
Basil toiletted fine this morning, bouncy on walk and didn't eat anything other than a drink of some boggy stream water (not unusual and Nell did too).
Then a couple of hours ago started crying, pacing and was unsettled. Would wag but couldn't be lured into a game of any sort, no reaction to a ball even
He has vomited 3 times, all gushes of very brown-watery-poo-like-vomit (TMI? sorry ), stinky but nothing in the puddles. He's also quite bottom gassy and it's whiffy.
He's drunk water and is resting now and the crying has stopped but he had HGE a few years back so I do worry....that started with crying over tummy pains.
It is also almost 4pm (Dinner time) and i'm pretty sure he's not thinking of dinner, which again only happened the day he started with HGE and no other time in almost 6 years
Please let this just be a bad case of gippy tum and nothing worse that's brewing up and waiting for 6pm and out-of-hours vets fees to commence
It's not like him to cry, pace and look sorry for himself over vomiting
Awwww .
Una had a 12 hour bug last weekend and her mum said she was doing much the same.... couldn't settle, whining, pacing, etc, etc. It was a particularly violent bug, as apart from vomiting to start off with, she then had bouts of vast quantities of watery diarrhea, about every half an hour, all night long. Not good when you're blind, trying to clear that lot up. She was fine the next day though, so hopefully once Basil has whatever it is out of his system, he'll be fine by tomorrow too.
The girls send licky kisses for their mate (whilst wearing masks and gloves as they don't want to catch it).
Oh we've had the every-half-hour-diahorrea thing a couple of times before, which great panging stomach noises to boot.......poor Cynthia though that would be extra worrying for her......why do those sorts of bugs only ever happen in the night though?
Not once have my two had repeated diahorrea in the daytime
Well almost an hour with no vomiting now and no signs of diahorrea so I'm calming my HGE worries as that gets worse quite fast. Thinking todays stream water must have just been a bit too boggy and then got swished around with a good game of tuggy maybe.
It's just horrible when they cry though and look to you to fix it
Sorry to hear Basil has a poorly tummy, hope it settles soon and he can get back to his usual self, I think I`d leave his 4pm meal even if he shows signs of wanting it, give his tum a chance to settle.
