Julian/Walkforlife has kindly offered to donate one of his incredible portraits in aid of a rescue.

Now, I suggested that choosing one rescue to benefit from his generosity would be a challenge to say the least as so many are worthy, so I am suggesting we fundraise to either sponsor another dog OR if there is a rescue out there that has a particular dog they are raising money for to pay for an operation/rehabilitation we raise money towards that cause.

So if you could suggest a worthy recipient we will choose one to fundraise for.

I have no suggestion on which cause should benefit, there are obviously many that are worthy, but just want to say what a fantastic and generous offer by Julian, his artwork is brilliant, how i wish i had that talent.
We do have some talented artists on lab forums.
The other question would be how to sell the piece, by bidding, raffle ???
I would love to have 1 of Julian's pictures on my wall, next to 1 of my own pics.
Gary and Toby.

What a good idea! I don't know if the Oldies club have any particular needy dogs under their care?

Sponsoring a dog is great too. Decisions, decisions.....

Nice pic Gary. Shocked Very Happy

Seriously though, what a fantastic and generous offer Julian. I will rack my brain cell for some ideas. Will you do Ebay style bids or raffle or something else?

gorgeous george Very Happy a chocolate labrador that suffered the most horrendous cruelty. they tied his leg to his neck and made him walk on his broken leg....I cried so much when I read his story. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad He has had a lot of surgery and has 3 legs and now looking for a forever home. What a lovely and generous idea. I agree with the sponsorship or a particular dog in need. Will have a think as well, but no nominations at the moment.

As for Gary's amazing pencil drawing, clearly a one off..... I wonder if he and Julian could get together to design a pair??? #Smile_colors

Oh this is a surprise Laughing I think its a lovely idea Julian, maybe the nominations could be put forward and members vote. The picture could be auctioned off with bids from members and if members would like to remain anonymous, for a bit of mystery thrown into the mix they could message a Mod who will bid on their behalf lol.
