Sorry to hear Tess has GPRA but it does mean no op for her, which was more or less what you`d decided anyway.
As John says they adapt well to failing sight, I had a Border Collie X who went blind late on but he never had any problems getting about the house, even upstairs to bed, I just left everything where it had always been.
When on walks he just stayed much closer to me and as he was aging anyway he didn`t have the energy to run about, like I mentioned before you could use a longline to help Tess on her walks and try to use the same area so she gets to know it well and then can be allowed to have a potter lead free
