Thank you everybody for your kind words and wishes

Charlie had a restful night and the vet is very pleased with him. We can collect him at 5.30pm today.

Today can not go fast enough, we have all missed him dearly. We have been out this morning and got him lots of new toys and treats to help cheer him up and occupy him while he rests.

Laura thank you for your great advice - i shown the kids the video of your beautiful dogs, they now know what to expect even if they did seem a little upset at the thought of his leg being shaved. My 3 year old actually thought it was Charlie on the video and was kissing the screen Smile

I have put his crate in the lounge so we can take it turns sleeping with him for the next few nights. Blankets all cleaned and snuggly waiting for him. Just boiled him some chicken. I am about to find a piece of wood for the back door as its quite a high step to get out.

If anyone can think of anything else please let me know.

I will update this evening when he is home and settled xx

I'm so glad that Charlie has had a good night and I hope that his recovery goes smoothly.

Hopefully you are with him now and the vet is filling you in on the after-care. I'm glad that you could prepare your children using Luna's vids. I have LF to thank for preparing me for what to expect so I am glad to help out others in return.

The only tip I can think of is wrap his meds in that plastic sliced cheese for burgers if he doesn't want to take them!

Ask away if you have any queries. x
