My husband and I took our two dogs for their annual boosters just before christmas. All was going smoothly both dogs were sat in the waiting room i was so proud as they were so well behaved. Until........
the vet popped his head around the door and shouted next please. My lab saw the vet's face ( who is an excellent vet and very kind) and that was it. The lab jumped up onto my lap and there he sat unwilling to move. The people in the waiting room were laughing so much as this huge black lab was sat up on my knees and i couldn't move, not even to get him off. It was hysterical.
in the end my husband had to literally pull Bernie off my lap and more or less carry him into the vets surgery. Not even a meaty treat would entice him into the room. Once in all was well and Bernie didn't even flinch as the needle went in. Let's just say i'm not looking forward to next years booster!!!!!! What a baby!
I have one fighting to stay out of the vets room and one trying to dart in everytime the room opens!! I tend to take them at different times so I don't get ripped in 2!
Very funny That's what's so adorable in animals, they aren't ashamed to show they're cowards!!
As most folk on the forum already know,Kenko rarely sees a waiting room.....he's always rushed straight in to the Vets consultation room in an emergency, after a manic drive to the Vets !!!

Belle used to love being a lap dog but she was much smaller because of her kidneys and I often wondered if she still would had she been a normal size lab - now I have my answer!
____________ Emma
Always in my heart, my beautiful girl Belle 14/9/10 - 26/11/11
Typical boy I have a great picture of that in my mind.
The problem I have is holding Bella back. As soon as one of the vets or nurses appears she nearly dislocates my arm trying to get to them
Troy is exactly the same. He can't wait to get in there. If any of the reception staff even look at him, he thinks it is an open invitation to try and get through their door and behind their desk! There is usually at least one other dog in the waiting room and I have never seen one move quite so enthusiastically
What a wuss, love all the lap dog photos Millie likes a good cuddle too but Amber, not on your nelly as she will jiffle around and not settle before getting back down.
