I have always wanted a labrador so bad, but my father never allowed me to get a dog. 11 months ago, he finally gave in and allowed me to get one. This was my first time ever raising a dog, so I had no experience with where to buy a good dog from.
I bought Dexter, my black lab when he was 2 and half months from a breeder i dont at all know or trust. He is now a year old, but he is too small compared to other labs his age. He also has thin legs and small paws. Dexter also has white spots on his chest, and on one of his paws. Lots of people tell me he is not a pure lab whenever they see him. Inever saw his mother or father, or another dog of the litter so i could not tell.

I dont really care if he is pure or not now, I just want to know. I put some pictures of his here. hope someone can help. Thanks Smile !

He looks purebred to me. Labs come in a lot of different shapes and sizes.

And I have seen much bigger white marks on a labradors Chest. I have never seen any on paws though. Out of our dog's litter 3 of the boys had a range of different white marks. One of them had only a few white hairs, My one has a long line of white hairs and the other one has a very big patch of white like your dog =)

Labradors do come in varying sizes depending on their breeding. They also have varying markings and white on a chest or paws is not unique. I think they might be called mismarkings but I am no expert, just a lab adorer, he looks lab to me and you love him as he is in any event. He's beautiful Very Happy

No its just the camera. Although, a some times of the year when he is shedding his hair turns a bit brown, thats normal ?

perfectly normal it will be his under coat Max also has a brown tinge under his coat.
