Oh gosh Mooz!! Thankfully he's not cried or sobbed - I feel guilty enough as it is (had a terrible job not to sob as I left him at the vets yesterday morning)! All he's done is whine a bit and give the occasional groan and heavy sigh and coming up for lots of cuddles. He spent the whole of yesterday evening following me about and trying to climb into my lap whenever I sat on the floor but he seems quite stiff today so we're keeping him quiet and just letting him chill. He's being so good bless him!

Mary - I hadn't realised he could still father pups once the actual umm... nuts... had gone though I knew the urge would still be there due to lingering hormones. Do they have some kind of secret storage system for it then?!

Fertile semen can be stored in their bodies up to about 4 weeks following castration so make sure he doesn't come into contact with any in-season bitches Wink

I'm glad his op went well and I'd agree that he'll be fine to be toileting in the garden offlead. It's not as big an op for boys as it is for girls and they are usually quite happy to get on with being "normal" once the GA is out of their systems Very Happy

Moss and Casey (brother and sister) were both neutered on the same day: Moss came home as excited as if he'd had a day at the beach and proceeded to bounce around the furniture Rolling Eyes Casey took to her bed and was the picture of tragedy for 24 hours, then got up and proceeded to bounce around the furniture Rolling Eyes

Good to hear Mojo is doing well, I`d have said the same as the other about him in the garden, as long as your with him in case he tries a BTR he`ll be fine.

I don`t know the reason behind them still being able to sire pups for up to 6 months (I was going to say ins and outs but thought better of it Laughing ), I didn`t know myself til John (JohnW) mentioned it, may be worth PMing him and asking.

Also don`t expect him to ever go off the idea of sex, when Cindy was 3 I caught her and my mothers terrier tied in the kitchen, he`d been castrated at 9 months and was 10 and a half when he did this Shocked Laughing

Glad the op went well.

I remember Max being neutered 12 years ago now and me thinking I might have a day of peace at least as he recovered. Then I saw him drag the vet nurse down the corridor when I went to collect him Laughing

Not that it matters to you now as Mojo has been in, but our vet says no food after midnight when they are due for sedation/GA. Water can be left out overnight.
