Thankyou all for the welcome back!! Smile You have all cheered me up after feeling a little down this week! Smile

Margaret - is your modem a brown one with greenish lights? I thought everyones modem was like mine until I spoke to the chap at virgin! He's been in the industry for years and couldn't believe I still had one! Apparently I should've had it changed it back in 2003 but I must've slipped through the net! They don't even call them modems anymore! They're HUBS!!! Shocked I might just take it on Antiques Roadshow!lol
Anyway all I did was ring 150 and told them I was having problems with the internet and they checked if I was connected. I said I thought it was my modem as it was so old and they sent me another! Rang Wed came Fri! Smile It was a bit annoying when I was trying to activate it. I'd got someone from abroad and she must've been reading from a script because she told me to do something 4 times! Shocked ( I think she forgot where she was on her script! Rolling Eyes ) She then said she'd ring me back within 10 mins. An hour and a half later I decided to ring them back! This time I got this chap in Liverpool! Finally someone that speaks off a script!! He was fantastic. I did have to ring back and got a lady from the same place who was equally as helpful! Each time I rang it took about 20 minutes before you spoke to someone which was a pain! Rolling Eyes but patience paid off! Smile So set an evening aside to do it as it's NOT a quick call!!lol Rolling Eyes Let me know how you get on! Wink

Ours is a black one with green lights.So far its working.I find anything you want to find out from Virgin,you have to go through hoops.Will let you know if it goes wrong.
