Coco hasn't been sick for a day or so now so that is positive.

We had an appointment for Milly today at the vets but not with my regular vet as over the past day or so she's obviously been in pain and kept close to me and didn't play with the others. I found some cartrofen that she'd been prescribed before and we'd been told we could give to her is she showed signs of stiffness "en demarrage" i.e. when getting up or first thing in the morning when us oldies have signs of stiffness. So I gave her half a tab last night and this morning and she seems much much happier, running and playing like a crazy thing once more. I cancelled the vet and we'll make another appointment when our usual vet is available to discuss the lump situation. If it's something serious then leaving it won't make a big difference as I'm not sure I'd want to put her through serious intervention and if it's a fatty lump, well, it's just cosmetic.

Thanks for all your thoughts and kind words. I think it helps to say these things out loud to help all of us face what will inevitably come to pass.

I've been thinking about you and your girls. I didn't post before as I had no idea what to say. Even thinking about the inevitable upsets me and Lottie isn't yet 4 so I am pretty useless all round. So glad Coco and Milly seem to be improving and you sound so much more positive.

Take care Nic.

That's the spirit. enjoy the positives definitely. I made th decision of no more operations for Amber's lumps last January when we lost Arwen. I am a relatively new LF member and would love to see some photos of your clan if you would like to share Very Happy
