Poppy is wandering around the house constantly crying and I have absolutely no idea what is the matter. We have checked her our and doesnt appear to have hurt herself. She is up and down the stairs and just wants to be out in the back garden. If you let her out she doesnt need a wee she just seem to want to be outside Sad

I have no idea what is going on - Help?? She is 7 1/2 months old now so could be going into heat

This is our first dog well bitch so have no idea. I've tried to check her underneath to see if anywhere is swollen but can't keep her still. She doesn't appear in pain she is just crying t he back and front door. We let her in garden and she just went and lay down on the lawn and then refused to come in even for food! I've rang the vet so waiting for them to ring me back.

We have had our girls spayed before their first season, so no experience of what the first time might be like, sorry.
You have done the best thing ringing the vet, why-oh-why do these things happen on bank hols....but they always seem to.
Has she been eating and drinking fine? Any chance she might have eaten something unsavoury (likely with labs I know, but it is all a process of elimination at this stage.)
Hope you get some answers VERY soon, it is stressful when our beloved girls and boys are not their usual selves.

OK, can you tell me what her tummy is like? Is it nice and squishy or is it tight like a drum skin?

Also what does her tummy sound like? Is it gurgly?

She has settled a little bit but not like normal, I can still hear her downstairs although she isnt crying as much. Her tummy feels just normal and I had a listen and couldnt hear anything bar a quick little heart beat. I spoke to the vet and he said he thought she might have cystitis but she isnt even trying to pee when she goes out. My husband took her out before and she refused to come back in he had to practically drag her into the house.
Think will take her to vets in the morning
