I could do with a bit of help in trying to get Eddie to calm down when he meets other dogs and people when out and about please. He's a bit of a jumper and quite hyper when meeting other dogs for the first time.
Is there anyone near Manchester, I'm in Sale, who wouldn't mind meeting up now and again?
Hi,im up for that.Im in salford, grtr manchester and can just about find my way to tatton park,Teddy would love it too.Dont worry about Eddie he sounds completely normal x
We sometimes meet at Tatton park, we could arrange a GT and post it in the NWGT section so that everyone can see it.
Don't worry about Eddie, he'll be fine
Where is the NWGT section? Would anyone be willing to arrange something? I can pretty much do any Sat or Sun so easy to accommodate As Eddie is only 6 months we'd only be able to join you for 30 minutes or so if that's ok?
dont worry about Eddie he sounds normal, mine is approaching two is really good but is still obsessed with other dogs, develops deafness and recall goes out of the window (its brilliant at other times). We went on a get together at lyme park and all the dogs got on really well and had a great time.
We are not too far away, south of Manchester, Sandbach Jct 17 on M6
Look forward to seeing you and Eddie on a get together.
Hi Andy,I would just pick a date and place eg Tatton or Lyme or anywhere else you think would be nice for a get together of a few people and a few dogs (we normally like somewhere with a lake or water of some kind to wash them off before getting back in the car) and post it in this section. You're bound to get some takers
I am in Bollington, near Macclesfield so not too far either. Lottie loves GT's! We once did about 17 dogs (16 labs and an honorary lab...a cocker) and not a crossed word between them. We even got asked if we were training Guide Dogs (ummmm not very observant people...dogs running round like loons. I don't think they train Guide Dogs like we do GT's !!)
Will look out for your post! Most people tend to do 11ish in the morning to allow people to travel and not have to be up at the crack of dawn.
Barbara xx
PS Don't worry at all about Eddie jumping. We're all used to that!
How about trying for Tatton? We had to change the last one there because of some christmas thing a couple of weeks ago. I can't do this weekend as I'm on call for work and need to be within driving distance of Liverpool in an hour or so. I know Tatton isn't far, but I'd have to get back to the car, get clean, then get the dogs back home first, or of course, I could be in the middle of my dinner at the pub afterwards .
