It's good to see this update, you sound so much more positive. I really think that on the whole you've done a great job, he sounds such a lovely dog.

Let us know how the training goes. Very Happy

Frankfurters Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy What did I tell you. They will do ANYTHING for them!!!!

Glad things are on the up; and as for the training with Wylanbriar - you're on a winner there for starters.

Oh, and just another tip re: the frankfurters - they are irrestistable without fault - but if you stick your portion in a mug in the microwave for about 20 seconds they are even stinkier and even MORE irresistable. Also the smell of them goes onto other additions (i.e kibble carrot etc) if they're warm Wink Wink Wink

It is so lovely to hear of someone who is working with their dog - sadly we see a lot of dogs come in and when we ask why we are told the owners have tried everything, done x,y and z with no results, yet as soon as any attempt at training is by us the dog loves the challenge and learns new behaviours..... implying the people have not actually bothered at all.

Well done, you may get times when he seems to go backwards a step but persevere and you will have a brilliant all round dog.

your boy sounds a lovely boy. I had huge problems with my boy...makes yours look like an angel Wink and by attending the Wylanbriar groups and 1 to 1 sessions we have a totally different dog.....still a way to go but we both get so much out of training...it's great fun Very Happy Very Happy
Solly is also 40 kg and the same age as your boy and the vet says his weight is perfect for his build and he receives nothing but compliments on his physique. I wouldn't stress too much about it. Very Happy
Maybe we will meet at one of the groups! Very Happy Very Happy
