I am so fed up with Dog Food when will it ever go simply Ok Max has just changed from RC junior Labrador to RC Labrador we tried him on Orijen puppy he hated it but here is the problem he has been on the RC Labrador for 2 weeks now he is pooping 5 times a day loosing condition I feel

So do you think I should put him back on the puppy RC which he was great on or try Orijen adult maybe a fish one and see if he likes it what would you do.

My Choc boy didn't get on with RC, so I switched to Arden Grange, which was great his poo's were alot firmer & the stinky wind stopped. We are in the process of now swopping to CSJ (the breeders recommended it), as yet it seems ok but we are only 1 day in. I agree though it is a minefield when it comes to food. Do you swop it gradually by doing half and half at first?

I would just go back to the junior but what I'd also do is compare the ingredients of the junior and adult to see what the difference is so you may get some idea of whats not agreeing.

Alternatively just stick with the adult as his toileting may settle down as he gets used to the new food. Young dogs tend to take abit of time to get used to a new food - 4-6 weeks isn't unusual.

Another adult RC feed to look at may be the maxi sensible, a friend found it excellent for her GSP who was having trouble maintaining condition.

indi was onrc maxi dog food when i got her from the breeders. We then switched her onto junior and then adult. She had very runny poosdull coat with doggy dandruff, always had ear and eye problems and was hyper as anything. We later found out she had allergies and the food didnt help. So switched her onto james wellbeloved and all the problems have magically disappeared!!

I have just started feeding our pup and her Mum fish4dogs and both are doing really well on it. Only downside for the dogs is the portion size is small!! Their coats are very glossy, poo is very firm and there are no other nasty side effects. Mum did initially put on a little weight but as soon as I cut the portion size down she looks much better. Her weight gain could also be due to lack of exercise as she is in season. The puppy is only 4 months old, but I will be putting her onto the adult food as soon as the bag is finished. I changed over from JWB fish as the fish4dogs works out cheaper as I can buy at breeder rates. Definitely worth a look at.

The RC Junior never really agreed with Bella and I only realised how much it didn't agree with her when I changed her to Burns lamb & rice (adult). The difference has been amazing - no wind and much firmer poo's, although she still does go 3 times a day. Her coat is silky soft, but I do give her Yumega oil as well.

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Kronch ingredients....

Barley, wheat, fish meal, lard (food grade), fresh salmon (16%), maize, blood meal, sugar, brewer's yeast, garlic, vitamins and minerals.

Kronch Main contains 20% protein and 10% fat (see Feed composition).

10% fat? Maize, Barley, Wheat? LARD!!! Thank goodness there is a bit of animal in it...(well fish) It isn't a product then any dog of mine would get..

I would not buy any product that didn't have meat, as it's first list of ingredients.. That is why I changed from Royal Canin.. Since when was it fine to feed dogs maize, wheat??? as the main ingredient.. no wonder they fart!! Laughing
